Explorer 214270 link configuration

With a full linked 214270, how many links on the 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock side?

I had mine nearly 4 years before I noticed it was 7 and 5. Switched it to 6 and 6.

Mine came 6 on each side. The AD added (2) links to the 12 o'clock side to fit. Sits nice and comfortably.

It shouldn't matter about that...

It's more about where the clasp blade sits. That needs to be in the center for your comfort. Even if it means the clasp is slightly off center

Whichever side you want them on.

Both sides of the bracelet are identical; you adjust the removable links for comfort. Usually there are more on the 12 side to go into the clasp, and for the shape of the wrists.

Depends on the shape of the wrist.

It was 5 links at 6 o’clock side before I evened it out. Not really noticed much difference to be honest.

It's different per individual as a few mentioned. If you workout a bit, you'll notice the ulnar (pinky side) of your wrist and forearm grow much more muscle.

Just checked mine and it's 8 top, 4 bottom.

As an exercise, grab a string and run it around the circumference of your wrist starting at top center. Mark where it is bottom center. If it's not perfectly half way, you need uneven link distribution.

I am bumping this post........

Just got my 214270, 3 links removed.
All I want to do is put them back the way it comes from the factory/AD
I know it is personal taste, but just want to know how many links on the 6 and 12 o'clock side?
thank you..

I have 7 links on the 12 o'clock side and 5 on the 6 o'clock side. The clasp sits perfectly in the middle of the bottom of my wrist and watch face sits in the middle of the top of my wrist.

Everyone's anatomy is a bit difference. Configure it how it suits you.

Thanks Anthony, I have figured it out. I knew from other posts there was more on the 12 o'clock side.

Bill this is just a weird post and it makes no since, unless you picked a used one up and you're trying to flip it as new.
Bracelets are sized from the 6 side, the 12 side just holds it in place. All wrists are different ...

Duey, why is this a weird post? I just bought an Explorer, in LNIB condition, but 3 of the links were removed for the original owners wrist size. All I wanted to do was put them back in as they came from the factory and then go from there. So I put 7 on the 12 o'clock side and 5 on the 6 o'clock side. It was too big so I removed one link on the 12 o'clock side and now it fits perfect. Very comfortable piece.
