GMT Master II 16710 with 1570 movement...original ?
I'd been watching this one on ebay Oz for a while
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA:IT&ih=001 Apart from the first time the auction concluded and the watch reappeared a few days later, the movement caliber does not match what is supposed to be in a #16710 GMT Master II. The seller says he bought the watch new, how could it possibly have a #1570 movement. If I'm incorrect, then hey, bid away make it your own. cheers Richard |

The whole listing is confusing. At the beginning, 1993 or 1994, not sure, bought it new in 1994. The last line: L series 1996. Also the coronet in the crystal - I don't think this was implemented until the late 90's to ~2000 or so. The photo is poor - one more reason not to trust it.
I wouldn't walk away from this...I would run!

Thanks swissautopro and Orchi,
I thought this one had the smell of old washed up fish, as I'm no expert though, figured best to ask first. Shame, I'd really like a GMT, in Australia. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. |
