SBCW005 Flightmaster

Hi everyone. I just picked up this pretty rare
Seiko Kinetic titanium Flightmaster. Its from 1999, JDM. And best of all it has the jumping hour hand for changing time zones just like my GMT master. Looking out for an original bracelet for it (19mm lugs) I have a generic on it now. Really like it!
If anyone has any info on an original bracelet, it would be appreciated. It looks like this:

It looks very nice. I did not have a good experience with the kinetic that I had, but maybe it was me.

I have found that it takes a tremendous amount of shaking to charge the capacitor a little. Much more than a purely mechanical watch. But it does charge.

Cool watch, interesting bezel

I wish the 24 hour hand was just a bit longer, looks almost identical to a GMT hand on a Rolex.

Yes you are right the GMT hand is slightly shorter. I like that the hour hand can be adjusted independently without stopping the movement.. makes it a real GMT. Here is a comparison.

I love the kinetic's at least when they have been upgraded the the newer battery and capacitor. But these watches don't seem to get much love.

Here are the two regular divers I had.

Seen side by side,,, the Seiko keeps drawing my eye to it . There is something more refined about it .

It might be the fact that the Seiko has sort of batton style hour markers rather than the circular diver style markers on the Rolex. The Seiko is 39mm vs 40mm for the Rolex.

It seems that the Seiko quality control was very good during this period. The applied markers line up perfectly and the second hand ticks precisely on the second marks. I had never seen one of these when I first saw it and quiet honestly I was taken aback by how nicely done it is. The back is also very nice with a big engraved S on it surrounded by what looks like an effort at turbine blades from a jet engine.

Wow, that's a very nice pick-up. Didn't expect to see anything so attractive.

Love that bezel too. Is that sort of a "dimple" finish or something? Really nice.

Yes, that dimpled look on the bezel is cool. Probably hides scratches.

Yes sort of a dimple finish on one half and sort of a smokey colored smooth
Finish on the other half. The smokey smooth half sometimes looks black, sometimes silver depending on the light. A very clever combination.
The dial has sortof a carbon checkerboard finish that can only be seen in certain light and angles. All in all the intricacies of the watch are amazing.
