I’ve 4 Rolex and 1 Tudor which is the BB Blue Chronometer and I really like it. I had the BB in burgundy and sold it, at the time I thought it had more to do with the size than anything else. I borrowed a friend’s Blue BB and the fact it doesn’t have the faux patina that the other BBS do did it for me. It get more wrist time than any of my Rolex. Having said that I’ve no intention of moving over completely to Tudor. I’m waiting until Baselworld to see what come out from both brands and if one watch speaks to me more than another, I’ll go for it.

I have a Black Bay with the In-House, and have recently acquired a DSSD (126660) with the new 3235.

In terms of quality, I think the DSSD is quite obviously superior to the Tudor, but much of that is due to the simply incredible Glide Lock that the Deep Sea has....it's an unfair comparison.

Moving past the Bracelets, there are some subtle advantages that the DSSD has in terms of finishing - but what there are some things that the Tudor has that the DSSD cannot compare with :

- The Tudor has stunning Chamfer on the edges of the case. I love this.
- The Tudor's rotating bezel has a firmer resistant point only at the 12 o'clock position which means you can reset it without even needing to look at the watch!
- The Tudor is fare more pleasant to hand wind. This is just my opinion, but I find it's buttery smoothness to be more pleasant than the slightly granular feeling the new Rolex has.
- The Tudor is more accurate - it simply does not need to be adjusted as it has lost less than a second over the past 3 months, whereas the new 3235 loses a minute per fortnight - still very good but the Tudor is incredible.

So, overall I think the Tudor compares very favourably.

Tudor time

I was always an Omega guy, but saw the Hulk and pulled the trigger in 2017. I then got a Datejust on the jubilee strap three weeks ago which I really like and am currently on the waiting list for the BLNR. Here's the thing - no other Rolex do it for me now. I cant stand the over complex face of either the Daytona or the Yachtmaster. I tried on the Black Bay and really liked it, but when I saw the GMT online - wow! I am on the (3 month max) waiting list with a 20% deposit in my Manchester AD. Can't wait!
