I never knew or thought about these watches actually making "movement" sounds but sure enough I can hear my GMT IIc too when pressed to my ear.

Well spotted! However, its just a trick of the light as that is in fact just a big @ss vein. I'm an avid road cyclist...lean as a butcher's dog so those veins just pop out!
