I am pissed at my AD and soured from buying PAMs ever again.
I am really mad at my AD, Tessorini at the Bellagio. I brought my PAM90 into the store to have my watch looked at because most times I try to manually change the date, it doesn't move and I have to pull the crown out several times before it moves to the date I want. The manager took my watch, and then told me that my warranty card doesn't match my watch! I then told him that I feel getting the correct warranty card is of more importance than the problem with the date. He said he should be able to get me a new card. That was two months ago.
I received an email telling me Panerai couldn't find anything wrong with the watch, and they won't issue a new card because its been more than a year. I go to pick up my watch today, and I asked if they could call the person who has my card and we could swap. I'm sure he would want the correct card for his watch. They said they wouldn't do that. They kept saying, "There's nothing we can do about it." The manager said, "Its okay if you don't have the correct card, you know its authentic and your warranty is over anyway." I told him that's not the point. I paid alot of money for this watch, and would like all matching paperwork, and if I ever want to sell this watch, not having the correct card devalues my watch. He then said something that pissed me off alot. He asked if I've bought other watches here at Tessorini. I said, "What difference does that make? You should be giving me good service whether I bought one, or five!"He then said that aside from this situation, I will keep buying from them. I told them I have no reason to come back and buy from them ever again. I am so mad, my problem with my date hasn't been fixed, and this problem with the warranty card arose. Is there anything else I can do to get the correct warranty card? Any help is much appreciated!

Dude Vincent, sorry to hear about your issues with the AD. You would think it's only good business and business sense for them to accomodate you in this instance and verify your purchase with a receipt and hook you up with the repair. It's obviously their fault for given you the wrong card. sucks.

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as that always gets the business owner's attention as they seek to avoid those formal, recorded blesmishes on their record. The BBB will also help negotiation a resolution on your behalf.
In fact, I would get the store manager on the phone and use the line, "I'm so concerned about the way you've treated me that I am prepared today to contact the Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General's Office, local Chamber of Commerce, and Panerai corporate offices to request an investigation into your business practices if you are not willing to assist me after selling me this multi-thousand dollar watch."

Take the watch back. Ask for a full refund. It's like buying a car without a steering wheel. I know it's been over a year, but since they can't provide the proper documentation with your purchase, tell them you don't want the watch.

I would go over him to PSC direct or even a boutique. I can say from experience that there are some that will do lots to help. And at the same time, some of the golden boys with that company are only that to a select few, also from experience.
Best of luck and hope it gets sort out.

I understand your frustration and have had lesser issues that were all taken care of some quicker than others. I agree it is the ADs fault but one should always check the paperwork which is ultimately up to the customer. I am guilty of not checking every watch but most of the time I do and I know the owner and manager well enough if there are any issues. You can try by whatever means to get things right with the AD but in the end what is it worth to you? It is a regular production watch and most likely resale will not be affected with the wrong warranty card. Things like this can drive you crazy if you let it . You are the customer and if they cannot solve the problem take your business elsewhere. Just make sure you send a letter to the owner or someone higher up the food chain.

Goiing direct to Panerai would really help you sort the matter out. Also they would realise how incompetent the AD is. I would say boycott the AD. Also try to goto the authorities. A watch without paperwork is as good as a fake or a stolen watch.

Write an email to Panerai explaining the situation. If you still have a receipt/proof of purchase or your credit card statement with the payment going to them it would really help.
Make sure you outline everything. |

oh man...sorry to hear that..this would never happened if you bought a Rolex... Kidding aside...go to the Panerai boutique and they will be more than to help you...calm down talking to them and they will sort things out..if this doesnt solve your problem like what the said go to BBB and that will shake them a little bit...

Sorry to hear that, as others have said, file complaint to BBB, get your money back and buy from another store.

Panerai guarantee's is 24 months worldwide..so if your watch is within the warranty period they should have your watch fixed. As for the warranty card i dun know if yours is hand written..as for mine,my AD just pasted one of the sticker bearing the serial numbers onto the warranty card.
