I'm not sure about that, but Steve did say he would pay me to go away. And it was way more than the pledge membership amount.

Very solid gesture!

You are now a pledge member. Make sure to thank Tyler1980 and find a way to pass it on!

I am sorry if my original reply was not clear. It was late in my day and I should have typed more to suggest just PMing Steve would get this resolved.

Good going @Tyler1980.

Some people just don’t say please and thank you, not sure why, maybe there is still some unwinding going on.

Come on @timeanddate, you know we’re all waiting for it.

We believe in you!

Do you think its clear and obvious?
Here's the thread for the 2018 calendar year pledges.
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=576908
The search string annual doesn't appear in the original post.

OP, I'm not challenging you, just wondering that perhaps I saw a different thread.

I wanted to make a pledge in November of 2018, but based on the info in the thread above, I just waited until the 2019 pledge announcement appeared.

I was confused by this when I first pledged and lost the status a few months later. Not a huge deal, as it was only $25 and supports the ad-free operation of the forum

I'm not sure if OP has a reasonable complaint here. What I can say is the "It's a donation" argument is not compelling. The language emphasizes the voluntariness of pledging, but voluntary doesn't mean donation. If I buy a coffee from a shop, it's voluntary but not a donation. The shop could even call it a donation, but no court (at least in the US) would recognize it as one. The language also alternates between definite and indefinite: "will have message capacity of..." versus "may benefit from... functionality"

The thread is pretty clear on date of expiry, but buried in extra language that doesn't communicate much

Same here, I was going pledge back in November too but have waited until 2019 pledge became available.
