I would get the smaller cuff. Put the watch on it in the open position and then close the clasp. That should work. It’s not the way Wolf says to do it, but if it works, that’s all that matters.

For what it’s worth, my wrist is 7.5 inches and I use the larger cuff, the smaller is for my wife’s. I install mine with the clasp closed and slide it over the tabs. It does scrape the bottom tab but it’s caused no scratches to the watch.
Mine is also 7.5 inches. I have a 116618LB with all 12 links and glide lock slid all the way in. Fits over the large Wolf cuff just fine, just have to compress the foam with your fingers before sliding the bracelet over it. OP would be better with the small cuff as there is less foam thickness to compress.
