Smart Strap anyone?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/techno...-watches-smart

Any thoughts on this tech? I personally wear the thinnest Fitbit on the other wrist but this idea has potential maybe for those who don’t mind losing the oyster/jubilee.
I see a lot of people wearing nato and rubber bands (not my bag) so some people don’t seem to mind a non-Rolex bracelet so why not this?

If Rolex ever brought out a replacement smart-clasp (never gonna happen) then that would be a winner #baselprediction2025

The older I get, the less available I wish to be to those who would seek to reach me. So this is a hard pass for me.

As soon as the vid clip mentioned the price (£399) I hit delete.

If this was simply a step tracker/activity tracker that could sync with an app on your phone (and in the clasp only, as opposed to the tech being all through the links) I could see some fitbit types maybe adding the clasp to a rubber strap for example as opposed to wearing a watch on one wrist and a tracker on the other ... thats why I looked at it in the first place.

I'll stick to wearing a fitness tracker at the gym and wearing my watch when doing everything else.

I'll stick with my Flex 2. It tracks swimming and lets me know silently when a call comes to my Cell. That's more than enough for me.
