When is enough enough

I know there’s a lot of collectors of various things on here - cars, watches, guitars, etc but when is enough enough ;.)

Got 3 motorbikes at moment/ not turned a wheel since mid Oct & heavy snow this morning. Spotted a 30 year old Dakar classic for sale about 40 miles from where I stay. Trying to get my head round the fact i’ve 3 I struggle to use without buying a 4th - yet the logic deserts me & i’m being pulled to go & see it.

Temptation. Do it.

If your wife isn't nagging you to sell one (or more) of your toys, you don't have enough.

I'm down to one motorcycle, trying (though not very hard) to get down to zero. Not sure how many guitars though. Thankfully the wife is only complaining about the bike.

Go see the bike that is for sale. If it is right and it does not cause a financial hardship for you then get it. If four is too many, then wait till spring, ride them all and sell one or two. I like the saying, "Soon enough", which means for us all soon enough you will not be able to ride, wear watches or participate in the activities you enjoy. Everything is about finding balance but I don't think you will be out of balance with 4 bike that you love and use when the weather is right.

I would love if you could post a picture but I’m not sure if that’s okay with the board rules. Would an antique sword collection fall under the ban of posting pictures of weapons?

I am struggling with the same problem; I have two sports cars, but feel I need to have a true exotic before I get too old to enjoy it. I say go for it!

Assuming youhave all 4 and yiu have to let one go. If your pick is the 30 yr Dakar than you may think reconsider buying it. Otherwise pull the trigger and enjoy it

If room isn't a problem, go for it!!! My garage has two Harleys and one antique car inside. No room for our relatively nice daily drivers. Honestly, I'm getting tired of tripping over stuff trying to navigate the garage.
