+1000. This forum is usually so insightful, but these types of threads make me cringe.

That’s pretty funny.
Why not?
These names are all silly, and they don’t affect the watches at all.

This place is starting to get a bit like a teens forum arguing over Apple v Android sometimes.

Divestiture aversion / endowment effect becoming prevelant. Opinions being flaunted as facts.

Any road up, back to topic BLNRo or BLNRj would be my preference.

But no doubt it will get some comic reference.

Since when was jubilee a problem? The other GMTs with Jubilees were the hot watches going for silly money. I don’t recall anyone sniggering and calling the BLRO a diet-pepsi.

Let’s say there is a scale, masculine one side and femanine on the other side with a slider

Oyster in Matt brushed steel would be fully on the masculine side, jubilee would be towards the femanine side (but actual ladies bracelets literally on the other side), and the PCL oyster would be closer to the masculine side but not as close as a Matt brushed.

So jubilee isn’t ‘femanine’, but we can all agree on a scale it is closer to femanine than an oyster even with PCLs. Certainly the jubilee will please more female buyers as women get more and more into the pro models year on year. Which increases demand

The people that are trying to force these puerile nicknames remind me of an obnoxious neighbor that I had a few years ago. He would hear a joke on SNL or some radio show and for the next week or two he would wear you down with joke fatigue, always saying after the silence, "get it? or wasn't that really funny??". I wish I was able to see inside his head, where he was probably telling himself a) look how clever I am b) I can tell the joke too! c) Why aren't they laughing? Must modify the joke a bit or keep repeating the joke until they find it funny.

1000% agree I think all the original owners were hoping for it to be discontinued and are gutted especially with updates to movement etc. I think both BLNRs are lovley.

I sometimes wonder if this is the Rolex watch forum or now a kindergarten forum for 4-5 year olds.

i agree. Its not a feminine watch at all. It's fancier.

Diamond dial mens watches are far, far more feminine if you want to go there.

Yes, Rolex have adopted Batman, Hulk, Pepsi & Smurf on their website.

I must admit, Batgirl is a funny nickname for the new BLNR on jubilee.
