Pay over MSRP on a pre-owned SBGW253 or go for something else GS?
I missed the boat on getting this watch under MSRP by a couple weeks when 2 different Trusted Sellers each had one, but I wasn't educated on the brand enough to even know about them. (I scanned watchrecon and found that they both sold a mere 2 weeks before I found interest in the watch).
Now they aren't popping up for sale on watchrecon. The ones that I do know that are FS are going way above what retail, with an AD here in FL selling one at $8500...pre-owned. This isn't Rolex, and it isn't THAT limited at 1960 pieces, but my question is - what would you do? Pay above for this GS or look around the catalog to snag something else? Value retention is always on my mind, not because I'm a flipper but because if I do end up not loving a piece, I'd rather not lose 2-3k on it. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, and give me an idea of what piece you would go for instead!

I'd take my time for a right deal to come up. They will come up. You just have to be patient and set hard rules to yourself. I waited several months to score a truly mint/one owner full set of SBGW047 (700 pc limited) well below MSRP. My $0.02.
