1996 Tudor Font Error?

Hey all,

I got offered a Tudor Prince Date 74000N online, and was sent a close up picture of the watch. Unfortunately, I noticed that the print of "SWISS" seems like an error. (The final letter S) - looking like a 6.

Any thoughts on this? I dont think I've ever come across something like that before.

That looks like "SWI56" to me. Very odd indeed. I'm not a Tudor owner so my experience is nil, but that looks awful fugazey to me.

Very strange. I'm not sure I would proceed with that...

Here are some of my photos of my 74000n White for comparison.

OP's PHOTO:

It looks like part of the DASH between Self - Winding fell off and lodged on the last S in SWISS....

Very good investigative reasoning and certainly looks plausible

Thanks guys! Funny how some of us need some form of reassurance even though deep down we know that it's a no-go

Will try to get an even closer pic from the seller. I'm really hoping it's a loose piece of lint or something that can be removed....wishful thinking indeed.

just looks like a piece of something sitting there thats black, looks almost a little darker black than the writing. It looks like the normal "SS" with something on the dial between the 2 making it look like a 6.
