Thanks, everyone! I’m enjoying wearing this watch!

Ran it on my friend’s cheap timegrapher. The numbers look great in terms of zero beat error and rate (got zero seconds per day with crown down position) Should I be worried about the amplitude? Im not familiar with how these graphers work, but could it be lower because of the thick caseback?

Some first impressions:
After a half a day or wearing the SD43, it’s quite comfortable and not as top heavy as I was anticipating. Crown does not dig into my hand. Thigh I don’t mind, I notice the bezel teeth are quite sharp, or at least sharper than my BLNR.
Endlink fit and finish with the case is super tight. Bracelet is quite comfortable as well. I like the ability to wear it in informal settings with the brushes links. I love the wrist presence. Anyone thinking about this watch with small wrists should not hesitate to try it on.

Seems like "stopping in" lately has been netting a lot of success. Glad for you as well.

Great story and great watch! What a surprise indeed. Shows that respect for an AD can go a long way. You obviously formed a great relationship over the years.

It looks to be a good fit on your wrist. I did get to try one on at my AD, but ended up ordering the Sub instead. But you can see the R&D that went into that watch, when it fits most wrist sizes so well.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your story.

Cheers,
Carl

Many congrats with the purchase!
I too have small wrist and let them removed the diver extension. Now it is even more balanced.

Thanks! Man, I bought the SD43 justifying purchase as a watch for my son along with selling my Zenith Daytona which I rarely wear...but now seeing them together with the line of red text on each, I’m not sure I can let her go...esp since I feel like I’d regret it as I haven’t seen for sale many black inverted-6, all brushed bracelet and with the subdials now starting to change...

I know, I know...1st world problems...

Agreed. I’m lucky I have them in my backyard. Owners Mike and Matt are always welcoming and love to geek out about watches. I think all their staff are WIS as well.-
