Seiko Accuracy
My Seiko Divers (I think it’s a 4R36, does that make sense?) is about six months old. I wear my DJ41 most of the time, but use the Seiko as a beater, and am very happy with it (for the MOST part). Over the past couple months I have been doing a timing check, the watch is on a winder, same one I use for my Rolex when not wearing it and while it is far from a scientific study, I feel confident in the results. The GOOD news, is that the watch is very consistent, the BAD is it is consistently BAD. Well, not sure if I am expecting too much. The watch loses two minutes per week, pretty much right on the dot. I realize I can not expect the +-2seconds a day of my Rolex, but this equates to about -15 seconds a day; I expected better.
Is there something wrong with the watch or should I be satisfied? |

That’s about the same as my 007.
Doesn’t bother me in the least. Just means I get to play with it more. |

Consistent is good, but time it on your wrist, you will probably find it’s better than -15 secs/day due to variation in angle and temperature than on the winder.

I’m sure the timing can be better if you have it regulated.
