For one I wouldnt want to take a leather band in the salt water that much. The SS bracelets also can get very dirty if you like to play in the mud.

I like the look of the NATO for a bit of a change-up on a chunky sport watch, keeps things interesting.
I also would'nt wear leather for water or mud, but stainless cleans-up nicely under the tap with some soap and an old tooth brush.
