Hi there,

I live in Kuwait and I went to the only Rolex dealer in Kuwait.. They said the model I'm looking for (GMT MASTER II - PEPSI) is not in stock and I cannot put my name on the waiting list.. They said Rolex headquarter is not giving any slots for this watch... Is this true?

I know there is a high demand on this watch at this time but I'm not willing to pay twice as the MRSP to get it now...

Any thoughts?

There is more than one AD in Kuwait, there is one in Avenues mall, one in AlSalhiya complex, and one in Marina Mall. I know for a fact that they are getting the BLRO in (not sure how many though), as my uncle picked one up recently after a few months after putting his name on the waiting list. To be taken seriously you have to have bought a lot of watches from them in the past, like in most Rolex ADs around the world. My local AD in Ireland told me that they only get one Daytona in every two months (6 a year) and they are the only AD in the country.

TBH, a "waiting list" doesn't really mean much. I had a great relationship with my AD, had bought a BLNR and not flipped it, and have still been on the "list" for over a year. If you're willing to pay double than go with a reseller and don't waste your time on an AD.

Same in Dubai. Wouldn’t even take names down for the BLRO. Just flat out refused even though I said I don’t care how long the wait is.
