126660 vs 116660 Comparison Photos
I stumbled upon these comparison photos online when trying to research the differences between the old and new deepsea references. I know others are interested in the differences as well so I wanted to share these photos.

So the 126660 actually has a large bracelet. Cool. Still too big for me though!

Great pics. I will tell you that the proportion of the new bracelet may seem more visually correct, but the older style is more comfortable

that first photo shouldn't even be called a comparison photo. it's so skewed you won't be able to get a good read on either watch. The others are pretty good though and definitely interesting to see the changes.
Although I never got to hold them side by side, I did own the 116660 twice and finally got to try on the 126660. I couldn't really noticed any difference without having both in front of me. I know that the wider bracelet and clasp makes the SD43 very comfortable though. |

I wouldn’t have guessed this. Very interesting. Very hard to compare because the AD wouldn’t have one sized to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It has some value for the discerning eye. For example the font and spacing of the font used on the ring lock system wording. Also the bezel insert engraving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If one has an opportunity to try on anything with the new wider bracelets and are accustomed to the classic width Oyster bracelet, then the difference in feel is really quite apparent. |

Great post. Thanks.
I really like that the ring lock font is no longer bold and the font matches the dial. I like that the bracelet is bigger and the end links no longer stick out. I don't like that the green is less visible, I liked the old green better. Overall the new one is much better in my opinion. To me it wears very similar to the SD43... |

I had a first year black dial that I dailyed for a couple of years. I generally enjoyed it, it was comfortable, but I always thought the bracelet looked out of scale to the watch head. The update looks much better to me but if I was going to be a new Rolex in this genre I think the SD43 is a much better value.

For me it’s the way the watch grabs the wrist. I wear my watches tight in general and with any watch across many brands the best test is to try it the way I’m accustomed to wearing it. Watches on straps make it easy. Bracelet models not so much.

New Bracelet Less Comfortable Loose
I own the original version. Like to wear my watches a bit loose on the wrist. My son owns the SD43. The new bracelet makes the watch very stiff to loose fit wearers. It is therefore hard and sharp on the edges when wearing. Old one has a little bit of flex, and although minimal, it is more comfortable when you wear the watch loose.
If you wear the watch tight on the wrist, new bracelet is better IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro[/QUOTE] |

Very informative post, thank you!
My buddy has the original D-Blue and was considering swapping for the newer version. This info should help him with the decision-making process. |

Hi Dimaxxxl
Apols, not wanting to hijack your thread or anything, just thought you might be interested in this. I too recently looked at the differences between the 116660 & 126660, although I concentrated more on the font changes to the dial, chapter ring & case back. Link to thread below; https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=645954 There's also a decent little youtube vid (not mine!) showing the 2 watches side by side link below; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2I0vHBdCZY Cheers Cheers

The 116660 has a more domed crystal like discussed on Rlx forum. I prefer the original version.

the different details (ring lock , proportions, bracelet) make me prefer the first 116660.
