Just to chime in, I have a BLNR which is OK in terms of comfort (comparable to sub size). I guess I have got used to it. When I first started wearing, the crown used to rub on the back of my wrist.

I also have a DJ 36mm which is super comfy (jubilee bracelet) and then a Daytona C which is pretty much the same comfort level as my DJ.

Sorry to hear of your discomfort- yeah that watch is swimming on your wrist.

I’d definitely go with a smaller case diameter if that were my arm in that photo. Best luck in finding your next happiness.

I agree, for sports, try 5 digit references or a Daytona.

Skimming this thread quickly it looks like others have pointed out what I was going to say, the watch looks too big for your wrist. Also keep in mind that the Sub date does sit higher than the Submariner by a few mm and with the solid end links, the overall size of the piece is closer to 50mm on the wrist in height.

This is normal. Happens all the time and happened to me with the BLNR. Just didn't like the fit no matter how much everyone else did.

I suggest looking at a 14060, 114270, 214270 or other 5 digit references. Their overall foot print is smaller and you're likely to find them more comfortable.

That’s just it, it’s too heavy. I took of off yesterday around 4:00 and the top of my wrist still aches.

What makes you say that?

What’s not comfortable? Getting the sizing of the bracelet to tight or loose? Or
The actual case not sitting right?

I think it looks pretty good. But maybe you can buy both. Try them for a while and sell the one that doesn’t fit as well.

I prefer the 5 digit subs to the 6 digit in how they sit on the wrist, but found my sweet spot with the SD4k.

I won’t speak for him, but I wholeheartedly agree and my reasoning is that the 5-digit references have more of the traditional Rolex DNA.
