i believe you can't put an oyster on a BLRO and they are pretty much the same exact watch, with the obvious exception being the bezel. So I would guess that no, you can’t put an oyster on the new BLNR.

Wore a buddies for a few weeks, i won’t say i hate it but i don’t like it. I have little to no use for a GMT and the color to me is cartoonish. He thinks it’s the greatest thing ever, and I’m happy for him.

Its a hype piece. Very few actually like it.

I personally do not and have passed up on retail buying opportunities. Dont regret it one bit.

Love the 116710 BLNR. Have had multiple good offers for mine. It is not going anywhere.

My everyday watch. +1 sec/day accuracy.

This is the problem with the current Rolex market. Nobody cares about the watches, only what is hot and resale value. How did it get so screwed up?

I like mine but honestly it does not get worn much compared to my Hulk, SD43, or even my Pelagos. Just not a great all-arounder with the PCLs.

That's why they are hanging around in dealers and having to be discounted to try and shift them

I would love talking here about watches not money when it comes to Rolex... But seems to be impossible - not only here, also in all other watch forums.

Don't care what others think. The BLNR looks more interesting but still subtle compared to the classic sub. Love mine because of its versatility and design, not on what it could sell for..

This is exactly the kind of post I referred to in my post earlier in the thread, and couldn’t be further from the truth, but trying to get that across to some people is a waste of time!

The BLNR is a nice watch, but it’s not everyone’s bag, and as a LN, Coke, Pepsi and CHNR owner, I can assure you when holding the BLNR and the LN in my hand to buy on multiple occasions, I just preferred the LN. For me it was the nicer watch and better suited my needs and taste.

Glad you like your BLNR, but a lot of us prefer something else. Availability and price have nothing to do with making another choice.

Comments like these seem to only come from some BLNR owners, maybe that’s where the hate stems from?

A year ago I felt like I was constantly reading threads gushing about the watch and now it seems like people could care less about it and always suggest flipping when it’s on the chopping block vs another watch.

Maybe I’m just over reacting but just an observation I’ve made. What do you guys think? Agree or disagree?

It’s a cool watch but there are nicer ones to be had. I had it and flipped it toward the DD40 because I paid retail and got $15,500 for it. I didn’t care for it enough to ignore that profit. I think that’s why many are flipping them. I actually never liked the blue in bright light. I don’t regret it at all. I do think for what it is, it’s a little over hyped but it helped me get my grail so for that I love it!

blnr prices coming down

Now that the jubilee version is out, the old version seems to be dropping in price. I dont think people hate it, it has become an investment game, not a watch loving game.

You are the exception, not the rule. My comment was a generalisation.

Hope that clears it up.

I'll keep mine. It's not all about the money. It's not my favorite but it's a keeper.

Not my favourite either but I need a GMT in the collection.

The dudes that pay the grey prices are the ones that hope it increases, I don't know why though. I paid full MSRP and the grey pricing was a bit less but I wanted it new. Plus it added to the AD getting me other nice pieces in the end.

The watch market sucks.

Look at how many Daytona’s, Kermit’s, 16710s are on for sale!! Do people hate those too?

It’s human nature that the “love” fizzles down after acquiring the item you want but that wouldn’t equate hate! It goes on to admiration, respect and appreciation....... wait, are we still taking watches??...... love you honey

Hey??? Not on this planet! Prices of the original have shot up since Basel. They will fetch a premium now because of their short production run and perceived collectibility.
