126710 blro noise

Hi all

Has anybody noticed when unscrewing the crown on the 126710 it clicks like its winding....is this normal....also the rotor noise is very noticeable....i can hear it at arms length...again is this normal as ive got a new movement in my sd43 but it doesnt make either of these noises

Yes I have and contacted Rolex directly about it. I was told it is related to the new calibre/internal design. Nothing to worry about, I actually like the sound.

I haven’t noticed the rotor noise though.

Interesting....thanks for that....can you hear the rotor if you put it to your ear and move it around...i know this new movement sounds different due to the bearings but it sounds quite nasty to me...

I’m not hearing that but there is a little noise in the café and am trying to avoid appearing odd to others by checking to closely. That said, I really never noticed it but the first time I unscrewed the crown I immediately did.

I haven't noticed this on my CHNR, which uses the same movement. However, I did experience this with my Milgauss, and it never became a problem. I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as your watch is functioning normally.

My new DJ41 clicks when unscrewing the crown, and clicks when winding, noticeably.

It's in teh shop new for poor timekeeping, I don't think it's related. Seems a lot of the 3235 (etc) do it.

I'll be interested to see if it still clicks when I get it back.

It's normal because of the new movement use the different bearing.

I can confirm, after trying to hear the rotor winding noise in a very quite area, that mine does not make this sound. Not sure what the deal is with yours but I hope you keep us posted. Best of luck.

I noticed a clicking sound when unscrewing the crown. It’s the same clicking I hear when winding. It bothered me a little but I suspected it was normal.... nice to hear another confirm they understand that when unscrewing the crown we may hear the clicking...

The rotor does make more noise, but it’s not something I would have noticed.


Yep. Mine is on a 97200 Sub bracelet. I just prefer this to the Jubilee. I never could make myself brush the PCL on my 116719, so I sold it, twice.... this one scratches the itch.

I only recently noticed the clicking when unscrewing the crown on my SD43. I have had it over a year and I don't recall it doing that previously (but likely that I just never paid attention). Glad to hear it is due to the new movement and is not an issue.

On my blro

My crown clicks went winding but primarily after 30-40 winds or when the winding power is maxed

I hear the rotor quite easily be my other watches

Your post piqued (or 'peaked') my interest too. My DJ41 does it too. I never would have noticed unless I held it up to my ear. (A situation that would never happen when adjusting a watch.) There doesn't seem to be any rotor noise and with my current -2/-3 accuracy, I'm technically happy with the performance. Your watch is probably fine.

This requires the BLRO springbars, which are a little smaller than the ones that come with the glidelock bracelet. Some members have cautioned me that the bars being the wrong size (smaller diameter) may be an issue; may result in a failure. The thing is rock solid and I feel like it will be fine. Just wanted to mention it.

Cool..ill give it a go when my new bergeon tweezers turn up

Ive also notice that the bezel is a bit more slippy to try turn as it doesnt feel as serrated as my blnr....have you noticed this too

Feels the same as the BLNR I had, from what I remember. I’ve not noticed a difference.

I stand corrected. After seeing the questions about whether the 97200 glidelock bracelet fit the GMT 126710BLRO, I went home, got out my magnification and looked closer. I can report that on my 126710BLRO the smaller springbars that came with the BLRO in fact do NOT fit properly. The 97200 glidelock bracelet was NOT secure. One end of each springbar slid into the hole, but the opposite end did not.

I was quite un-nerved when I realized I’d been wearing it with only one end of the springbar in one hole. The other end did not drop into the hole. I’ve made a couple posts where I stated that my 97200 fit but I needed to correct that error.

It does not fit. I have removed it from the head. If you plan to enjoy the 126710BLRO, plan to enjoy it on the OEM jubilee. Cheers.
