Sea Dweller or DeepSea Blue

Dear Friends,
long story short: after trading out a GMT I did not enjoyed wearing because of PCL I am looking to include in the collection another Rolex but more robust to wear and tear and the choice is between Sea Dweller 43mm or Deep Sea blue.
I have here some pictures on my wrist, my heart says Deep Sea but I wonder what you think is ok for a daily wear in a rotation with a Moonwatch, Tudor GMT and PAM112 given my wrist size?

thanks for the advices..

I would go with the SD43. To me, the proportions are nearly perfect and wears a little better. The DSSD post re-design is very similar just scaled a bit larger. Can't go wrong really.

The Deepsea ALWAYS better in comparison with the Sub Dweller.
And... The Deepsea's Always better in comparison of everything!

Both are great choices but I'm leaning more towards the SD43. I feel like it may scratch the Rolex itch a bit better along with providing a little more versatility.

Go deepsea. You’ll always have a little doubt if your heart is saying it already. Get the one you really want. The size looks like a non issue on you. The jc DSSD is just a little more special. Maybe the best Rolex dial there is. The other is basically a sub.

SD43 would be my choice. My colleague wears a Deep Bath, oops I mean a Deep Sea and he does nothing but complain over his regret. For me the Deep Sea is simply a huge tool watch. It has its need and purpose but frankly its just too big.

The Deepsea looks really huge on all wristshots in this topic and I doubt they are comfortable to wear.

FYI they are all basically a sub... It’s the little things that distinguish the models. U should know better.

OP:
I would usually say go with ur heart (u say Jc or dssd).
But u posed a question about daily wear.. keep in mind, the dssd is a thick watch. Only U can determine if it’s something U can wear every day.

No wrong choices here

I picked up the Deep Sea JC and loved it. Wore it everyday.

I bought the SD43 and that replaced the Deep Sea.

I no longer have the Deep Sea but it's a great watch. All preference, and I chose the SD43.

FYI I know what they are. I’ve owned both. And sold one.

Pretty great to call me a “dummy” for giving him my opinion. :guessthatswhyyourcrazy:

The size thing is greatly overstated by most
here. It’s a decent size watch. But lots of people wear bigger watches routinely. Panera’s, breitlings, etc with no mention of how big they are.

AD called me yesterday about a deep blue, but I regretfully had to decline :( I have too much other priorities at the moment going into next year. But damn, wish I could get it. The deep blue is a sick watch. Hopefully I’ll have another shot at one down the road but I would get the deep blue. For about 1k more, you get more wrist presence and a unique and beautiful blue dial as well as the peace of mind knowing that nothing can destroy your watch.

DSSD is better looking but for an all around diver, the SD43.

It's amazing how often this question is posted on here. Like most I absolutely love the dial on the DSSD blue. However, like many, I just simply won't do a watch that thick. It just looks ridiculously thick from the side. The SD43 not only is less thick, but it does a real nice job of hiding the thickness with the shape of the case. Doesn't look nearly 15mm on the wrist since much of that is in the protruding case back. The sides of the SD43 look almost svelte in a weird way. For a wow-your-friends watch, go DSSD. For a daily all-around sport watch, go SD43.

Really depends on what you're going for.

DSSD Blue is more fun

SD43 is a little bit more conservative

The "GAS ESCAPE VALVE" text to me is just so awful that I can't get past it.

I say Deepsea. You have a good collection to rotate, so having a larger watch won't be a problem. The DSSD is super comfortable and the clasp is the best out there!
