Rolex Ref 3200 or Bergeon 7825 saved alot of watches from getting butchered at RSC.

I used to have very negative experience with the RSC in Singapore. Partly due to the lacking of tools for SEL bracelet removal causing them to badly scratching up the lugs. I remember bringing my 2 weeks old 16570 to repair due to some rotor issues. They just use the bergeon 6161F and started removing the bracelet without any protective tapes. The older watchmakers there are quite lazy and uses simply removed from the front of the lugs causing nicks on front of the 4 lugs. They did some touch up making the watch lugs looking like some used watches.

In the end I sold it and got the 16710 (which is lucky in a way looking at the recent prices of these 16710).

After this incident, I have been wary of RSC for a decade and refused to bring anything in fearing that they continue their watch butchering ways.

Until recently I brought in my Tudor Black Bay 41 to touch up on the sides of the case (the case sides looks having some pitting issues after using the cape cod cloth).

I was told that it will take 2 weeks to complete. I received a call after 9 days telling me that the watch is ready for collection. I went down with a lot of negative thoughts thinking that the watch has already been butchered. And I may have to sell it off in case it comes back in a worst condition.

After I received the watch, it came back with the case side polishing corrected and all lugs in untouched conditions. I remembered seeing the technician removing the bracelet using the ref 3200 or bergeon 7825 when I sent the watch in. This experience makes me think that it is after all still safe to send our watches to RSC.

I wish i had bought a 7825 sooner! There should be a pinned thread strongly encouraging people to avoid removing a bracelet without spending the one time $150 on insurance

The 7825 is really worth the investment. Can avoid trips to RSC to retouching up the lugs or perhaps save some time creating threads in this forum asking about scratches on lugs and how to rectify them.
