Buying daytona 116500

Hello all, im planning to buy a 116500 and im having second thoughts because the warranty card is from the US and they wont verify it over the phone. I have to physically bring the watch there, which is impossible. My main concern is the authenticity of the watch. I know there are high quality replicas in production with the warranty card and white hang tags. Does anyone know if the replicas have the same serial number on the watch, hangtags and warranty card? The one im buying matches all three. Thank you for your help

Buy from a trusted seller from this site or from someone like david sw online. You can then sleep well st night. Sounds to me your gut is telling you to not buy this particular watch

Given the prices for the Rolex watches today, the cons will go to any extent, even if it's expensive, to make it look like legit. In the end they are still making hell a lot of profit. ******* Buy only from the ADs or trusted sellers *******

Buy the seller. If you trust him, you can do the deal.
Otherwise you need to have the watch authenticated by a dealer before executing the transaction.
Sure there is an AD with a service center around.

Are you asking if they' have the ability to nearly perfectly replicate a Daytona but don't have the ability to type the same SN on a warranty card as on the watch?

Matching SN's do not indicate authenticity.

If you haven’t bought yet, just walk away. Far too many legit examples to worry about this one.

I might even go as far as to suggest that it's easier to fake a warranty card than a watch.

I just saw a Youtube video comparing a fake Daytona to a real one. The fakes are getting incredibly good, to the point that they are replicating the movements and using the same steel.

If you have any doubts, then don't do it. It's a lot of money. Find one local and pay a bit extra for the piece of mind.

Why not have your AD inspect it?

When you say 'they wont verify it over the phone'....who is they?

With regarde to S/N matching tags and cards then the answer is yes, and unless you are an expert you wont be able to tell.

My thoughts exactly. Jesus! Something tells you to stay clear, stay (expletive) clear.

Not to sound flippant, but boo-hoo.

There are a good deal of 116500's for sale world wide; finding one isn't hard. Stomaching the premium is the challenge.

If you want this one versus just flying home and buying one for a reputable dealer, it likely means it is a good deal... So we have a 'good deal' on one of the most in demand watches around, you on a time crunch and something suspicious.

Sounds perfect... For a scammer.
