1992 Yellow Gold DJ
Went to the mall today just to good walk since it's in the high 90's here in Philly and the mall has AC. Saw a Zales jewelry store and walked in. They had a few DJ in white gold and yellow gold that the girl working there told me they were Pre-Certified by Rolex. She told me they send them to Rolex and the whole watch is certified then send to Zales. One watch a Gold DJ she told me was from 1992 and it really looked like new was $22,000. They also had a Daytona but I didn't ask about the price. I think that's a lot of money for a 1992 Yellow gold DJ. What you guys think about this? They only had pre-owned and pre-certified by Rolex. Only had 6 on display and asked if the had any SS Subs...no only what you see on display I was told... The watches did look in very good condition and it surprised me when she tole me the year..

The only way I'd accept that price is if they are having a 60% off sale - which being Zales isn't out of the question. Pre-certified - I have my doubts they send them to Rolex. Do they come with service cards & warranties?

LoL at $22k used gold DJ. That's why no one ever buys anything from Zales. Just my opinion

A $10000 gold watch for $22000, nice
No such thing as "Pre-Certified" from Rolex. They probably just send the watch to Rolex for service and it comes back with a new warranty card and a bunch of service parts. The watches originality is probably long gone.

Didn't ask about the service card or warranty since I wasn't buying anything, just making small talk with the nice young girl working there..

No such thing as certified preowned from Rolex. Perhaps they send them to RSC for a complete service etc - definitely would want papers proving that.
$22k is absurd for that piece. That being said I think I know the mall and wouldn’t be surprised if they are waiting on someone with no knowledge to walk in and lay down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
