I don't believe there is a better time to get a great deal on precious metal watches than now and when the market turns, it won't last for long.

JJ, that first scratch is going to hurt..

David, I will be happy to let you try it on... with two of my security guards blocking all the exits!

Thanks again for the nice sentiments. Now, do I wear it to work today?

Can I hire the security guards?

I have GOT to see it some day! I've had this photo saved in my comp for many months:

Many of you read I was kind of looking for a new YG sport model Rolex. It's ALL David (DSJ) and Terry's (Terry Newton) fault. They had to invite me on the Minneapolis get together and when we went to the AD, I tried on a YG GMTIIc. I went into a fog, I think people were talking to me but all I can remember was basking in the glow of all that GOLD. It was a mesmerizing experience.:

:

This part is true. He had one on when Terry arrived and barely even took his eyes off it when he said hello to Terry for the first time! It's okay though, Terry did something similar when we were looking at A Lange, and I was holding a grail Patek.

The green face is excellent, wish they put it in a SS but just wouldn't look the same without the YG. Very nice looking watch, juuuussssstttt a little outside a daily beater for my consideration though.

Congrats! I saw that one yesterday (black dial) when I was picking up my new LV. I tried it on and went into the mesmerized state you described......it is an absolutely gorgeous ingot of gold, no doubt. Congrats on a really special piece! If I could have afforded it!

Best,

Chris

Didn't I mention I left 2 of my best armed guards standing by the safe.

I'm wearing my Omega Seamaster 2254. It's not fair to call this great watch a beater but it gets the tough job of being my "go to" watch when there is a chance of damage from a hazardous activity. I would hate to damage it but not as much as I would one of my Rolex's. Now that I think about it, I need to go buy a cheap Seiko or something cuz it would make me pretty sad to mar it as well.

Luckily, I never have..
