Would you buy Rolex from pawn shop

Hello all,
After 10 years of collecting Tag Heuer's I decided to buy Rolex as my primary watch.
Last few years I established a decent relation ship with 2 pawn shops and purchased 6-7 Tag's from them. So far they are all legit and some of them I got at really good price.
They agreed to call me if anything came available, just going from $1000 to $5000+ price tag is making me a little nervous.
Any input?

Check w us and fire away. Doesn’t matter what legitimate channel you source a watch you like from.

I’d not feel to good about pawn shops but could be wrong.
I personally walked into a couple last month in Reno and checked out a couple of Rolexes. Some that I held GMTs felt cheap and light. I quickly handed them back with no interest.

The "buy the seller" caveat applies to any sale regardless of source.

There are good Pawn Shops, just like there are bad Pawn Shops.
The good ones back their claims of authenticity with both full refund or evidence why.
Also most Pawn Shops are "Bricks and Mortar" company where you can go in and discuss any issues.

All Pawn Shops are also strictly governed by law. All pieces purchased and loaned on are checked on stolen register by the police

Thank you for all replays. I look specifically for Sub and both pawn shops said they didn't have one for a long time so the chances to buy one from them are slim.

If i had a pawn shop, which ain't my aspiration it would be a good pawn shop

Haha, no on a side note……. Check your stuff very carefully and i would not buy without papers in a pawn shop, instead i would rather buy from a grey.

No issues with Pawn Shops just understand the nature of the business. If they can get you a Rolex that you want and the price is good, why not? Good luck.

I do work for a few local pawn shops. They are all very knowledgeable on Rolex watches, in fact one just sent his staff to a seminar on identifying fake high end watches. Like others have said, do your homework and you'll be fine.

If the pawn broker is long standing and with a storefront, you should be fine. Good ones do a good job assessing intake items for the most part, and a receipt goes a long way.

I ran my course in Tampa 12 - 15 months ago.
Wondering if that was it.
I never heard of other classes
