Sorry to hear that, but glad the case wasn't damaged.

One of the damaged links is not removable and the other is the easy link. This is not just a buy a few links and change out on your own. I’d just send it to Rolliworks they will make it brand new and they’re unbelievably reasonable in price

So, here's a status update.

Next to TRF and a few suggestions, I also contacted the grey dealer from whom I got the Milgauss last year. I took the watch to him to see what he could do, the Easylink was still working fine, he replaced a link and was certain the second link could be looking at least decent after he worked on it. He also recommended a light polish, since he had to work the bracelet anyways. Also, there were a few more dings from the fall that I didn't see at first so. Anyways, since I got the watch from him in the first place, it felt like a trustworthy source. So I let him do his thing.

Just had a text from him that he was done with the job, all in all €140 ($155) to fix it up.

Haven't had the chance to pick it up but I wanted to share this with you guys. Will pick it up tomorrow and here's the pics the guy made. I think the job is better than the pics. So I'll try for some better pics tomorrow.

Cheers guys!

Great outcome and priced well - Congrats on a good save

Now we can luckily get the forum back on track and you can in a few weeks post a "second scratch - should I replace the watch" thread - Has been tough to see this unusual case

I don't care about minor scratches, but that's bad. I'd send to Rolliworks in CA.

Yeah, overall it's not the worst in the end. Just startled me a bit. I'm mostly glad I don't wear my watch like BB King did (upside down), cause I think it would've been more costly then.

But I really don't want to be back with a second scratch adventure tbh

I miss wearing the Milgauss though, it's been a week! Just First World Problems!

Sounds like you are OK. Glad of that. I took a hard spill years ago on my bike. Actually, twice. The last time I cracked up a Luminox. Not a Rolex, yet.

Cudos for actually posting something with a real scratch! I clicked expecting to see the obligatory hairline scuff only visible under extreme magnification.

RSC will get you fixed up so you can enjoy your piece again. Wonderful to see someone enjoying a Rolex no matter what the activity. I don’t go looking for ways to damage my Rolex, but I do wear them for whatever activity I’m doing.

All things considered, that's pretty good. I think he restored it pretty well. Just in case, can you share the name of the grey dealer, perhaps in a PM.

I just picked up the watch and some last pics to show the end result. On the case itself is a really small dent, but I couldn't get it on camera, you can only see it in proper lighting. One link is replaced and the rest of the scratches is pretty much buffed out. He did a light polish as well. You can still see some wear and tear on the Easylink but that's it mostly. Also included the replaced link and a kitty pic, cause she wanted to be included..

Thanks for reading and replying to the topic guys! The grey dealer is Kramer Watches in Franeker btw, the son Klaas is the one to do business with. Really happy with his job done! They had a few BLNR's laying around if one is looking btw..
