31mm looks great on you. Between a 36 & 31mm, 34mm is also a great option if you are going for a bigger look. As per dial colors, I would suggest a dial that is the most versatile & tailored to your personal style (especially if you are planning on daily wearing the watch.).

I would also take a look at larger sizes (34mm and 36mm).

My wife's wrists are tiny, but she has slowly moved up from smaller watches to what she wears now, an old Air King...and I personally love the way it looks on her!

Agree - My wife wears a 36mm DJ, but she's 5'11" so it looks great on her.

Hi. Thankyou for your reply. I tried on the 34mm, but it didn't feel right.
I love the way the diamond dots sparkle against the dark grey dial and is possibly more versatile than the green. However, the green dial looks amazingly eye catching despite not having a diamond bezel. It also appears to be different shades in different light intensities, ranging from green to black. I like that.
I will take photos next week when the delivery arrives at the store.

Always: I'd go for the 31. It looks great on your wrist!

My wife has thin wrists, too, and for her height (5'8") 31mm works perfectly. We found an older OP (non-date) model with salmon dial and she absolutely loves it.

28 is a better fitfor the wrist. How does it fit for the eyes? No point owning a watch if you can’t read the time.

My girlfriend had a 28mm. She is very petite, (does a lot of her clothes shopping in the kids section), we changed her 28mm to a 31 fluted on Oyster. The 31mm suits her a lot better. Anything smaller is just too small, even for a little person.

This is par for the course.
The watch will almost always look a little too big when looking directly at it on the wrist.
But looking at it in the mirror as a full body view it will look fine. We have people on here discovering this all the time.

IMO, if this is the scenario then the 31 will work out the best from experience. Also you will quickly adapt to the substantial feeling of it on the wrist.

Again, try them on and go with your gut instinct whilst balancing that with your best judgement.
Dial colour is a matter of personal preference and style whilst striking a balance in terms of functionality(readability).
You should be able to work it out for yourself.

Hi All!
Thankyou for your replies, advice and photos!
I am definitely warming more to the idea that 31mm is for size for me.
The 31mm dark grey dial was available to try. After having tried it on, I think I will wait for the green dial with diamond dots to become available as I think it looked alot better with my skin tone (photos are attached. The green dial watch with Roman numerals was tried on just to see the colour again my skin and the bicolour jubilee bracelet)

Please do feel free to give me your thoughts!
Thankyou for your input once again!

Apologies for the really tiny photos! When I try to directly upload them from my phone, an alert appears stating that the file size is too big hence this is the only size that I seem to be able to upload the photos.

26mm to 28mm IMHO is perfect for a ladies watch, as I've said before, they look like jewelry vs. a watch... so my wife likes the jewelry aspect... she would never wear a 'watch'... it's too utilitarian.

I hear what you're saying. I like the 28mm unfortunately it doesn't come In the combination that I wanted.

Thanks for the pics.
IMO, the Diamond bezel watch doesn't look as nice on your wrist as the Fluted bezel watch with Diamond markers on the grey dial, which is a good and classy all rounder. The 31 is all good in this day and age.
You could easily drop down a size or two for a dedicated extra dress up watch with some more ice on it

I note your jewellery appears to be White gold and it looks sensational with your skin tone.
Is there a reason why you aren't contemplating a white metal variant for your watch?
Also have you contemplated trying a Rose gold variation for comparison?
It may be possible you could just about wear anything and it would look good with your skin tone. But going by the pics, I would think it is hard to beat the white metals on your skin tone though.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. This is the easiest way to answer your questions. I am definitely decided on the diamond markers and fluted bezel. The diamond bezel watch photo was purely to see the olive and bicolour bracelet combination against my skin.

I absolutely adore white jewellery. However, I have found that depending on my outfit, I remove all of my jewellery if buttons/zips/material have gold. I personally don't think that yellow gold complements my skin tone, but I also know that I cannot completely avoid gold. This is why the bicolour bracelet appeals to me as it will complement clothes with gold or silver.

Also have you contemplated trying a Rose gold variation for comparison?

i tried the 28mm rose gold bracelet with olive dial. It didn't really appeal to me as the rose gold completely blended with my own skin tone!

The dark grey is available in 28mm. See image posted earlier... on you, I prefer the 31mm
The olive looks lovely, the grey is a safer bet classic look

I think the 28mm looks better on ladies.
The jubilee is a beautiful bracelet, and the with the 28 you get to see some of the bracelet (when you are looking at the watch directly) whereas with the 31, the watch head covers most of your wrist and you see less of that bracelet.

Might be helpful if you have some full body shots like those above.

My wife is petite but will not wear a watch less then 36mm. I just bought her the date just 41 on jubilee with black diamond dial. She loves it.

Nice topic!
On the topic of sizing alone, i think the 31mm looks great on you! Sure the 28 is very nice and very feminine looking.. but we also have to consider how legible it will be in the future. Specially if there is no stark contrast between the dial and the hour indices.

Eventually our vision will slowly deteriorate in the future.. and common sense will dictate that a larger size will be more readable.
I should know because im an eye doctor!
Im not saying you get a 34 or a 36.. but i think the 31 is a very good compromise compared to the 28.
A female bank manager friend of mine in her late 40’s owns a 28 and a 31.
She says it takes longer for her to read the time on the 28.

The only disadvantage i see in a larger size is that it “bangs” to surfaces (walls, table tops, doors, etc) much more readily than smaller ones.

Hope this helps.

Looks good in 31mm! I vote for this one of those two:

This is great information and definitely worth considering. I only plan to own one watch which I can hopefully wear for quite a long time. so I guess I should consider how my eyesight might be in the future.

I have previously had laser surgery, so hopefully my eyesight should be pretty good for quite some time.

You'll be surprised how well the larger 36 looks on a female's wrist. Recently bought my wife a DJ36 and it looks amazingly proportioned. The best thing is that depending on your size, you can also wear it. Best of luck with the hunt and your decision.

I totally agree about the jubilee bracelet being very beautiful. I just wish that Rolex did the combination (green, diamond dot dial, fluted bezel, bicolour jubilee bracelet) in 28mm. Unfortunately, Rolex do not do this combo hence I have had to consider 31mm. (oh well!)
