114200 OP Green

Been looking for the Green OP at second hand dealers throughout Hatton Garden for close a year now without any joy . I’ve never walked into Rolex directly and bought a watch before . I’m getting fed up of trying to locate one now to be honest and want to go ahead and buy it at retail , second hand they’re going for nearly full price anyway give or take a few hundred pounds . Do you think I’ll have any luck and any recommendations to which shop I should visit , Knightsbridge , selfridges , Westfield ? Or is this a foolish question . I know the Batman Hulk Daytona’s etc are near enough impossible to acquire first hand but does this also apply to the Green OP . Thank you .

If you have the time and effort to jump on a train for a couple of hours, there has been one of these in a Manchester AD for the last few days. It is new however, but at least you can try on to help decide if the watch is for you...

Let me know if you want me to PM the contact details of my AD.

Don't know firsthand the current state of things across the pond, but here in the US I walked into an AD five months ago and purchased this beauty brand new. These are not super hot like Sub/Gmt/Daytona, and I think should be easy enough to find. It was my first rolex that I bought brand new and I love having the warranty card with my name on it

It's a brilliant watch.

Beautiful watch (in pictures at least!)

I haven’t been to an AD in a while, but in the 10 or 12 times that visited ADs, I never saw one in person.

The black, white and olive OP seem to be harder to come by than the other colors (in my experience).

Anyway, good luck, and I am excited for you!

Green OP will be easy to find.
Look online Chrono24, Bob's Watches, etc.

Don't think you can still order at AD.
They may be able to contact other ADs for you in order to get it though, worth the ask.

I went to Rolex in Knightsbridge earlier , no luck , no Rolex stores in London had the green OP in stock . Also checked Harrods , no 34mm OPs at all . My last stop was Watches of Switzerland Brompton Road , who also never had it in stock at the particular store but did at another . I paid a deposit and it’s on its way , should be on my wrist within a week or two . Thank you for the replies guys . Looking forward to wearing my new addition .

In case anyone else is looking in London I'd recommend Portobello Market on a Saturday AM. Might do a separate post on it if no one else has covered it yet.

The dealers are dotted throughout the little arcades (more towards the notting hill gate side of portobello road).

Here are few that I know:

1 There's Jon who's in the Chelsea Gallery (not 100% that's what it's called but it's one of the ones furthest up). He has mostly Rolex, mix of sports and dress watches, all second hand, some vintage.

2 In the red teapot arcade there's Ric and Paul. Ric focuses on Rolex dress watches, late 50s to late 70s but has other brands too. Paul usually has some lovely pieces (not just Rolex but some older military watches, vintage Heuers etc.)

3 There's a couple more further down the road, spread across other galleries, including Sam who will usually have some rather rare vintage sports models on display.

I'll do a separate post to cover in a little more detail but it's worth paying them a visit on a Saturday, before the tourists arrive.
