Rolex at Lyon AD

To my fellow TRFs in the locality (and this may not be uncommon), I saw yesterday on the outside window display of Rolex AD in Lyon France an Air-king 116900, two tone Wimbledon DJ41 and PM subc. Saw a Tudor GMT on NATO last Tuesday but have not gone back to check if still available. Just FYI if anyone’s in the market.

Nice one. This should be a thing - posting cabinet stock from ADs just in case other Forum members are looking for those pieces.

These are certainly dark days when people get excited about an airking sitting in the display.

Not really impressive....At all. Im surprised we even see airkings to be a rare item nowadays. I guess just because it's a 904L item.

The manager at my AD wears an Air King, he's had it a few years now and it's pretty beat up, I think it's gorgeous in the metal.

I would agree and before I posted this, I needed to check from other TRF threads looking for the 116900 and in many instances, this is difficult to spot. Of course you can get it grey - a few years old, same price as MSRP but how many of us sometimes value having our name on the card. I must say I have a few SS rolex watches (including am Oysterquartz) and none has my name on the warranty card. So recently I got lucky with an AP 15500 directly purchased from a boutique (plus I really adore the piece). The adventures this hobby takes it

The off center distortion brought to you c/o an iPhone camera. other times, long legs, distorted facial contours, etc. nothing wrong with the watch.

I went back and am curious so I look inside - YG Subc and Wimbledon still there - Airking sold. At least it is at the hands of a happy customer.
