Which one to trade for 116520?

Hi guys. I was lucky enough to purchase a 116710LN from an AD this summer. While I like the GMT, I’ve been thinking about the 116520 with black dial that I regret not purchasing when it was in the $12k range. Now as we’ll know, the prices has gone up. I currently have the 116710LN and a DD40 rosegold. If you’re in my shoes, which one would you let go to make room for the 116520? Thanks in advance

If you ask on here, 90% of the responses will be "keep all". However if you have to, then keep your sub.

The OP doesn’t have a Sub. He has a GMT-Master II.

I prefer the professional models so I would keep the 116710LN.

Keep the gmt and add the Daytona as the gmt is more versatile, has gmt function and date.
The 116520 is an excellent watch and as far as values go they are still rising and also a rock solid purchase as they are discontinued.

I would keep the DD, I think it's beautiful. Sell the GMT add the Daytona and you have a sports watch and a dressier watch. That would be a great duo.

Sell the GMT and buy a black dial Daytona. That and the DD will look different.

That would depend if you really like the Daytona watch more than your new 116710LN and DD40, or just buy to wear the inflated Daytona price tag.

I love the GMT, but having two black dial SS sports watches isn't all that appealing to me. I'd sell the GMT, keep the DD, and have a nice two watch combo that covers all the bases.

Two options for me. First trade the GMT and put some cash with it to get the Daytona. Two watch collection, one PM and the other SS. Very clean collection and defined. Trade the DD, buy the Daytona and pocket some extra cash. This gives you two SS black dial watches so I would consider going with the white dial Daytona in a two watch SS Collection. I would keep the DD and trade the GMT if I wanted a Daytona. But understand the prices of the Daytona's are high now. Good luck.

That is a really wide choice, keep the DD40 ofc. And see if you can source another DD dial for a nice change up.

The Daytona & GMT would be a bit redundant (IMO) after having both for a while. I mean they’re both different enough, but in a two watch collection they may start running together, as they are two black dial sports watches at the end of the day. The DD/Daytona makes a great twosome! SS, PM, different colors, bracelets, etc....
No wrong choice!
