I like to wear my Yachtmaster with t-shirts and beaten up cargo shorts from A & F... and a Casio 'G-Shock' with suits sometimes....guess I'm not following 'proper' watch etiquette....oh well.

I think the following is true:-
1) Rolex Sports watch - can be worn with tie BUT DEFINATELY NOT A SUIT.
2) James Bond wore an Explorer 1 in the novels. The sub/gmt is not an acceptable suit accessory. The movie industry is lacking in class - hence the reason 007 wore an Omega.... he also wore a Seiko when the $BUCKS$ were that way inclined. Please ignore 007 with a 5508 sub (albeit accept it as it is a non-crown guard model of sports watch).

I think the following can be used as a guide:-
1) Suit occassions - wear a dress watch - Patek, Cellini, Day-Date, Date-Just.
2) Work place - any steel datejust, date, "light sports watch" eg. Air-Kind, Explorer 1
3) Economy Air Travel - Steel GMT / Explorer II
4) Business Class Air Travel - TT GMT, TT DJ,
5) First Class Air Travel - any 18K Gold piece or above
6) Firing staff - Steel or white Gold pieces only
7) Job interview - Patek or any discrete piece
No offense, but thanks for the laughs!!!!!!!!!!:lol :

Can a man wearing a SS watch fire a man wearing a YG watch?? Or does the SS man have to go find a man wearing a Plat watch to fire the man wearing the YG watch? What if he is wearing a YG DJ on a Leather strap, do you have to get out a scale and decide who is not precious?? Boy, I'm glad I own my own business.

I'm so confused.......

Exactly...!
Or what if the person to be fired arrives at the termination meeting wearing a PP....If the OP is the boss he just might have to rethink the "Your Fired"..

I guess I look really dumb wearing my Explorer II Black Dial with a suit. How am I going to live with myself?

What makes life great is that idiots like you exist (OP). You provide amusement and, although ultimately banal, you are clearly aware of your place in the world. I applaud you.

I remember this mental giant posting a pic of "his" Patek somewhere and it really looked strange to me. Actually, I'm quite sure our hero here is either sporting a fake Patek or stole a pic of someone else's watch.

Let's discuss...

I'd LOVE to see some wrist shots...
Again, I say these last few threads he's started sound suspiciously like that "Sex" guy that was always trying to cause trouble with his "My watch is so great" type posts...

This list appears to be in ascending order of silliness.

Different watches for different sections of the airplane?

Guys - I AM HAVING A JOKE WITH YOU ALL!!!

Guys,
I am just having a joke with you all.

Personally I feel you should be free to wear what you want!

Patek or Sports GMT ..... does it really matter?

The important thing - is you are proud of your watch.

Rules about what to wear .... don't really exist anymore!

Glad you all loved this post....

PS - Yes I was drinking a bit (whilst wearing my Patek) before lunch when I posted this question!
