I would like to see a Newman dial with black plastic insert but rolex will never do it. When ever they do an anniversary of any model watch, it's always something green with a little something else, but it's never a major change like doing a Newman or something

I personally dislike "re-issue" or "heritage" models...

I play guitar. Re-issues are common for models like the Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster... I can tell you that the things musicians like about Vintage are the way they play / sound / the way they were made. The faults / features of old tech are appreciated. A "reissue" is not the same.

That said, I think I will appreciate the new EXPYII with the Orange hand - IF it comes out. Sort of like the return to Maxi Dials....

The Daytona is so classic now, would be hard to see Rolex go retro or put a date on it. The dial is pretty crowded as is at 40mm. IMO.

I just could not face the thoughts of saying "Can you help me learn to work this watch please honey?" LOL
VCR...what's that?

Congratulations and have a wonderful aniversary.

Not to turn this into a guitar thread, but sometimes a reissue is pretty darn good. For those who can't afford the easily $60K plus for a 59 Les Paul burst, the reissue is an excellent alternative. Alex Lifeson, who 'can' afford the real thing, is using his 59 reissue on the current RUSH tour. I saw and heard it a few weeks ago, and he was on fire.

I don't disagree with your fundamental point on the desirability of vintage instruments (of which I own a few) or watches, but I would not go as far as
disliking a reissue or heritage model.
