Absolutely.....scratches are inevitable but you need to wear AND ENJOY your watch. Cape Cod polishing cloths are indeed great for removing scratches if they really upset you.

ive a tt sub with the older gold thru clasp , and wear it every day , no scratches to speak of , a rinse in warm soapy water then fresh water and it looks like new again.
enjoy wearing it.

Put it on a strap...ta da...no clasp...now all you have to worry about is the watch head. Can't help you there.

I don't look at my ROLEX to tell scratches...I look at it to tell time....scratches on the clasp or anywhere on the watch for that matter never seem to affect the reason I bought it...to tell me the time reliably and accurately.

I don't care at all! I've been wearing mine for 8 years and never polished it. I don't treat it any different than my other watches. It's got scratches but still looks great when someone else looks at it while on my arm. It looked better once it got all scratched up anyway. For years I couldn't tell ya when a new scratch happens. It just blends in. I may not get it polished during service either. Life is short. Wear it and enjoy! All Rolex are made to be worn daily and every Rolex has a story to tell.

If someone gets that close to your watch, they might be trying to take it from you. I have to say, I see a lot of posts about people getting all worried about scratches and such. They are watches nothing more, nothing less.

Just enjoy the watch and be glad you are in a league that allows you to buy such a great watch. If all else fails, keep the plastic on it that it comes shipped in as one other person mentioned.

That's what I called a little price paid for enjoyment. Otherwise how are you going to use it? After wearing it for a while, I'm sure you'll grow fond of them.

Good call!! You will enjoy, scratches and all! (I have the GMTIIc version and a Milguass.....and while initially was bummed with the appearance of the first few scratches, I got over it relatively quickly, and now enjoy wearing them very much)....Let us know when you get your TT SubC...

You are going to get scratches on your bracelet and case, nicks on your crystal and dirt everywhere..........if you can't handle it, get a G-Shock.........no worries

There are a lot of things to be afraid of, but scratches on a clasp is not one of them. Just don"t do anything crazy with the watch / band; get it, enjoy it, and let it be.
