Icon6 hell yes, get a SD!

In your honor I will wear my GMT Coke to work tomorrow. I was in Kabul in '09. When outside the wire or travelling to/from other parts I wore my Suunto or Casio PF. When ordered back to the embassy I wore my SMP GMT, Aquatimer, or DJ. Yes, a Rolex could be shipped to your APO/DPO but I don't recommend it unless you really want one that bad. But yeah, reward yourself a SD, definitely. But do so after you return CONUS.

Keep well S52.

Hey bud don't be too sad, I did Iraq in '06 with a red sub and lost it in a IED blast, and due to unfortunate events since I haven't been able to replace it! Thanks for serving, and just know your watch is home safe!

It's good to hear that TRF is keeping you company out there and offers you a useful distraction. Stay safe - all those things you miss are waiting for you at home - and they will taste so much sweeter because of your honour and service.

Thank you for you service, you guys are doing a great job. Check the PX catalog it used to have the GMT listed for purchase out side the U.S. only and quite reasonable compared to retail.

Your 1st pump huh!? You should have taken with you. If your in the Chairforce Im sure it would have been safe... Well... Depends on your MOS... Ive met a couple of PJ's wearing their subs and SD's. Ive seen guys on the "teams" sporting theirs. Kinda nice seeing someone blast a AT4 with a Rollie on!

I'm currently stationed in Korea and I am definitely grateful for your service. I deployed to Iraq back in 2007 through 2009 and it seems like we all take turns nowadays. You're there now, I'll be there later. It's one of the jobs where we actually makes the difference. I'll drink a beer for you when I take off my uniform tonight! Come back safe bro.

Thank you all for the kind words and support! I am completely humbled by the response this received!!!

As for the near beer, I learned my lesson a couple of nights ago, that N/A Becks is no good

I think I will treat my self to a nice SD, but I will try and be patient and wait until I am home to pursue that dream

I would like to say it is my honor to serve here for our great country, and as rough as it is to be away from everything and everyone, I am surrounded by some of the best friends and people I have ever met, and am proud to have been a part of it all.

In case any of you are curious of what its like over here, I've got some recent photographs I have taken of my adventure.

The first shot is of my accommodations here...

The rest of the shots were taken from my "office seat" aboard the four fans of freedom while exploring this country "outside the wire"

I hope you all enjoy them.

Respect you tremendously for serving our country. Stay safe and sound and return home soon. It will be even a better feeling that you left the pepsi home since you'll miss it that much more!
