Agree with all of you. I live in Bangkok. There is very few vintage rolex here. You can't compare with japan market.
For me, if I want to buy new rolex I would goto Singapore or HK for better price. It is hard for me to inspect second hand watch from shop which not AD. Anyway Bangkok is good place for tourists!! Welcome !! |

Mbk
I bought a BNIB AP 15300ST black dial there for $8100 and also a GMTIIC and a GMT Master all at good prices. I lived in Bangkok for 2 years and often frequent these stores at the 4th flr. I've been to bars and rests where the high-sos hang and boy, you'll see all kinds of watches strapped on them. I think Bangkok has the highest concentration of Pateks in the world! Those guys really know their watches.

I'd be nervous that when I sent it in for a service with Rolex, they would find it on the stolen register and not return it.

Thailand is the place
I was in Phuket, Thailand a few years ago and drinking with an oilman on r&r from the Gulf.. He told me how one night he was making his way back to his hotel drunk when he was mugged. They took everything, shoes, belt, glasses etc. The only thing they left was his £13,000 Rolex because everyone in Phuket was wearing them and they just assumed it to be a fake.
