I'd like the font on the bezel to be a little thinner.

I wish the size of the new model is 40mm instead of 42mm. I bought one with black dial anyway ... I really like it the new design.

The increased footprint of the latest Exp II kept me from buying one. So I decided on the 16570 and have not looked back since

I think the new Exp II is a great improvement over the previous model (which I used to own)

I like the black dial in particular, but there is just *something* about a fixed metal bezel with markings that jars with me. Maybe it just needs more contrast with the case like, for example, the new ceramic bezel Daytonas

I love this model, but I wish they made one with a bright blue hand insted of a orange on. It would be great if they made different color models

I am a fan of the black dial and the white dial;
I am also a fan of the old style and new style.
I like the old hands and I like the new hands.
I like the fact that the bezel doesn't rotate, but if it did, I would like that too.
I like the 42mm size but I also liked the former size just as well.
I thought the former size of the lumps on the hours were great, but the new ones are just as great.
and no, I am not running for President.

I prefer the newer versions of the EXP II--both black and white. I think the EXP II design specifically looks better in the new bigger/bolder version.

You know, I had a 16570 and it was the crown that disappointed me - it doesn't fit the watch. When I heard the updated one was coming out I was hopeful but no dice - small crown.

Oh well . . .

I like the older polar explorer ii better as well. Agree that the hands are too big.

40 white--classic - Like smoking old pipes and wearing trousers with the waistline above the navel.
42 black---stunning - Stunned by the oversight of gloss painted hands against a matte dial.
40 black---O...K - OK
42 white---comical - Laughing contentedly every time I glance at my wrist admiring sweet perfection.

1655---untouchable - Rare AND Spendy!

IMHO, the polar Exp II in ANY size is just about the perfect timepiece.

Polar new to me...

I think the larger EXP is awesome, and if I had bigger wrists I would own one- no question. However, I just picked up a 16750 Polar yesterday on a potential trade deal for my 16710. Here are my thoughts after 18 hours of ownership:

-Perfect watch for someone who spends lots of time outside in the Sun...
-white dial is great looking in the sun, can't stop looking at it.
-appears right at home with short sleeves
-non rotating bezel is less functional, but will not get gunked up with sand/dirt
-Somewhat of a stealth Rolex sports watch
-Very comfortable, thinner than my Sub16800

Lastly, a great addition to a collection of black dial watches....

i love the polar 42mm, blue charged lume when going indoor from outdoor always makes me smile looking at the dial..

design wise, at first i think the fat hands are comical, then i notice the lume on the hands and hour markers finally match in brightness(compared to ie: sub C). that is awesome.

the deciding factor was the combination of complimentary colors of orange and blue lume, on a neutral white dial.

design people knows about color wheel where complimentary colors are opposite of each other on the wheel. blue and orange is one combination example.

those opposing colors on the wheel are colors that compliment each other and most pleasing to the eyes to see.

that said, i'm still getting the black dial version to add to the already awesome polar 42. i just love the explorer 2s 42mm.. the 40mm never really called out to me. heck when the 42mm just came out, it didn't really caught my attention, and then it grew on me. :D
