You should go pick up a G Shock like you said you were thinking about, they are fantastic watches. I have a couple and love to wear them, they also give you a nice variety for cheap.

I think you made a wise choice.

The following is my opinion.

The second best would be a Sub.

After that would be an DJ, OP, AK, Date, etc.

I used to have up to 5 watches (PAM, Rolex, Breitling) but I have been nice and lean the past few years with my one and only

DSSD

Love this watch and it's all I need

(I do have a cheap rubber strap watch for the gym but that doesn't count)

So you must have got that Sub C ND very recently and you're giving it the heave ho already ?

Brother it's the oldest watch in my collection. Also the toughest to send off.

I genuinely like all my watches. But I think this is the right move for now.

I've been getting rather gluttonous and cutting back will be healthy. I hope.

Kudos to you on your decision. Can't go wrong with a GMTIIC.

Congrats!!!

Good luck Seth!
I have tried that route and it just does not work for me.
At this point in life I have at least 5 watches I can never
sell as they were gifts from loved ones on special occasions.
I still have debated selling everything else and getting one but it
just never works, there is always something else that pops in front of
me and makes me say Ohhhhhhh I need that!!!

Keep us updated on how its going!

Hope you will still be coming here often to chat, that is if we won't end up
tempting you too much HAHAHAHAH

Good decision. I did it myself and have been maintaing one Rolex and my G Shock since March I think. So far so good. I do get the itch though from time to time! Love my Sub but the IIc is a great option too. You got me thinking....

It's a common issue here--flip city. It's okay to have gone through this.

I think you picked a great watch to stick with (as long as you can).

Stick around and keep posting knowing you have a great watch

I really wish you luck in this endeavor. I think it is truly difficult for WIS types, but perhaps you can pull it off. Nice choice with the GMT as it is very versatile in my opinion.

Guys, I'm not going to beat around the bush here. I'm already having issues. I ship the watches out this Monday morning. But wearing my sub NDC right now. Love this watch.

I want to keep this one. But then I want to keep my Daytona and my DJ2 as well.

I just think that the GMT C covers all bases. And I've had it before, I know I love it.

But it's haaaarrrrd.....lol.

Good choice, and if I had to cull the herd, I'd be hard pressed between the one you picked and a Great White. I have all the modern stuff I want (well a green dial gold GMT is tasty but I am too low key to wear it), and now have a real appreciation for some vintage pieces as they are more unique in their special ways.

Not sure where I will end up, but I do have similar thoughts, just not at as advanced a stage as you in the hobby I guess. It's coming though.

Now that you're down to one you may occasionally get bored with the watch. I think a good solution to this problem is to put it away for a while and when you miss it put it back on your wrist! The GMT II C is an excellent choice.

Good luck!

I just went through something similar, found out less is more. In the process I was still able to keep my GMT IIC. Am traveling on business tonite and will be taking the 116710 as my one and only for the next 10 days or so. You couldn't have made a better choice.
