Video to Cops

Yes, the police will do that Sir. Thanks for the concern!

Unbelievable!

Yes! Inside a bank - where I usually transact F2F Panos! I never thought this would happen inside a bank... with cameras and all! And we were at the lounge area you know where clients wait to speak to a banker. So it was quite a distance even just to get out. Wow! There a first time for everything I guess...

Bummer! Some people are desperate and will do anything for a buck. I hope you catch this guy.
Did you file the watch as stolen with Rolex?

How stupid of him to pull this off in a bank where his face is already on camera the moment he steps in. The detectives will usually give his Photograph to local pawnshops. Call Rolex right away and fax Police report to them with watch description and serial number.

I never do a face to face deal in a bank that i know has no armed guards. Good thing here in SOCAL most Bank of America has guards.

Insured - Maybe

Not really. I will try to call my homeowners insurance tomorrow to see if they will cover it. I doubt - but nothing to lose anyway... Fingers crossed.

Bummer!

Thanks Leon! Yup! Times are hard. Be vigilant and we can never be too trusting... The things desperate people are willing to do... I hope he gets caught. And I hope he learns his lesson the hard way. I will obtain a copy of the Police Report tomorrow since it is a Sunday today - and will call and fax it immediately to Rolex. Thanks bro!

Socal Guards

Yes I hope so Alfred! I hope they get him. I don't think I'd like to risk f2f transactions any longer. Its not worth all the trouble and danger you put yourself into...

Sorry to hear news like this. The main thing is that you’re alright. You actually just changed my mind on meeting someone FtoF for the sale of my 214270 tomorrow. I best just post it here on TRF, and avoid any drama that I might encounter. Wish you the best of luck in getting your dilemma resolved.

F2F - Think Twice

Thanks Bud! Yeah; I actually am avoiding F2F transactions already. Better to stick to the traditional "get paid and ship" method that works great for most if not all of us... Cheers Brother!

Grab and Run

I know. Maybe that's why stores have locks sometimes or security guys at the door...
