Unfortunately that's not Kenneth's tartan.
If I was in the States I would buy one tomorrow but I will not pay the ridiculous Oz prices.

They had a 50 years of the 911 at Goodwood during the FOS. Here's the first three: 901, 930 and 964 followed by the 901 and the 991.

I've got a 991 C2S Cab/MT... I'm not a huge fan of the 50th anniversary, just doesn't appeal to me visually... once you start to change something, it looses its appeal as a special edition... 1.5yrs into production of the 991, and there's already 12 models... Over/under around 25 by end of production? (turbo cab/turbo s cab/gt3rs/gt2/gt2rs/targa/targa s/targa 4/targa 4s.....)

Looks good. I have a new Turbo and absolutely love it..you don't drive a Porsche, you wear it.

What are your folks thought of the 911 4S versus two wheeled drive version. The 4S is more of a touring car but do you lose the Porsche "feel" with an all wheel drive?
Also , at what mileage do 911 start to have Maintenance issues? Thanks |

4S makes a huge difference. I have a 2013 4S, and had a 2012 2S before. $ sticks to the road like a post it.

^^^ Likewise. I prefer the Sport Classic. But the price, oh boy...
I'm on "the list" for a 50th Anny. Had/enjoyed the 40th Anny 911 and it was a great car! Porsche 911s are the Rolexes of cars. Cheers/B |

True, price when you could find one was crazy, interestingly enough though that a lot of the optional extras for the 50th were standards for the SC. Your on '"the list" for a 50th? Wow! Does that mean, yes you will have one, or your in the queue to possibly get one?

Now i'm not going to state that I'm not a Porsche guy through & through but as a car guy I know enough to know that 76 RS is almost GOD in Porsche circles so not only i'm I in awe that you have driven one but that fact you had one in your family, seriously cool. Now in real terms 6K is a lot of money but GT to 50th it's not that much of a leap really & I understand why you'd be happy with either as none are a 'bad' second lol.
For the record my all time favourite?......gotta be the 993 Turbo...in S spec please haha! |
