I quickly came here to look for further information and found this thread. Man, 2 new watches in a year, how do you decide what to wear? I'm still in love with my first purchase from the summer!

Love, love the moonphase. JLC is pure class.
Congrats and happy new year!
Thanks Lex! The MUT Perpetual is an amazing piece. I may consider picking one up in stainless steel this year but I'm not sure yet. I may end up with an Aquanaut instead. Only time will tell! It's definitely tough sometimes to decide what to wear. Thats why I cut my collection down from 7 to just 3 watches. I may add a fourth sometime this year but we will see...or maybe a fifth...or sixth...it's a sickness I tell ya!!

Thanks Jesse! I'm pretty smitten with this thing. I think you would love it. There is just something about JLC for me. I may pick up another one before the year is out.

It kind of is a sickness, huh?
Technically I own 2, but gave one to the wife
So I now count as only having one- I'm trying to carefully select the next 1-2 pieces but having a hell of a time deciding.

The SS JLC MUT Perpetual is a boutique only model to my knowledge. And from what I've read, discounts are rare and it is a rare watch too. But if you decide to get it, I'll be rooting for you! Just post pics!

Great call Chris!

I tried one on at the Taipei boutique and the thickness, proportion and dial design is money. Enjoy in good health!

Best,

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. If you haven't tried it on or seen it in person then I would suggest you check it out. Looks much better on the wrist in person IMO. Love it.

Thanks Carl! There's just something about these style of watches. I've never owned one like it and I don't think it will be my last.

Thanks Fred! I love the proportions of this piece and I'm in love with the dial. I couldn't be happier. I'm a huge JLC fan so I doubt this will be my last.

Hi Chris, how about this JLC MC after 5 months? I am looking for this as my next watch after all Rolex sport ones and really appreciate if you could share your experience.

Thanks.

Hi, I'm sad to say that it's no longer in my collection. It was a beautiful watch. Pictures don't do it justice. The dial was well balanced and the overall quality of the piece was amazing. JLC is the best bang for your buck IMHO. But in the end, it was a little too dressy for me. I don't wear a suit to work or dress formally often. I'm usually a shorts/jeans and tee shirt kind of guy. Since it didn't get as much wrist time, I decided to trade it away.

Actually, that is what I worry about. I also find myself be more casual with tee shirt/ short sleeve shirt. And I am not sure if dress watch can be worn with casual clothing. I love my Rolexes but love to add in one dress watch too. I am considering JLC master control/ JLC master calendar and GO panolunar but lean towards to JLCs

IMO, I think a JLC "dress" watch can be worn casual and look ok. I wore mine often in jeans, tshirt, and converse and it didn't bother me. Although I think the Master Control can be a bit more casual than the Master Calendar. In the end though, I felt not only that it was dressier than I needed but also more delicate. There were too many watches I'd rather wear in almost every situation. It just wasn't for me. If I were able to have a larger question, I would have kept it. But considering I have to limit myself to only a few watches, it had to go. I wouldn't blame you for buying a JLC though. Great, great watch if it fits into your collection and lifestyle.
