Chaps
I worry about some of you lot. I bought a brand new 39mm Explorer, read up how to find the LEC from this forum. Got the LED, shone it on the class from the 12 0 clock position and it came up within a second. What's the problem, it is a piece of cake. Regards Mick |

It really is dead easy if you use a decent sized LED torch.
I can do it in about 2 to 3 seconds |

Came across this thread and wasn't aware of the laser etched crystal. It must be easier on some models than others. It was very difficult to see it on my OP 39 with the blue dial. I did find it though!

Found it on my 2014 DSSD after a whole lot of looking (the magnifying effect of the crystal plays tricks on you).
Found it on my 2008 Sub Kermit. Found it on my 2003 DD 36mm. But I can't find it on my 1989 DJ 36mm (16234). Maybe they hadn't invented LEC yet in 1989? Will try to look for it again tomorrow. I'm seeing spots even as I type this. Hold your LED flashlight, then use a magnifying glass, they said. Great. Now I'm blind. |

I have difficulty on some watches and not on others. The LEC is buried in the glass and not on the surface which makes it even harder to find.
