Unfortunately there have been some quality issues of late more than normal IMO with Rolex so sure some more posting.

The forum was nothing like this in the past unless there was a major issue/defect and of course the dreaded STRETCH threads LOL... It will change again. Regardless IMO you would be hard pressed to find a better place on the net to spend your time than right here

Probably only since Rolex became bright, shiny jewelry

I agree... Granted these things are thousands of dollars, pounds, whatever. Either way, the level of expectation at times from us here is not reasonable. Or people see flaws that aren't really there. If Adam is speaking from the post from yesterday, I tricked myself into seeing it too!

With the price of these watches and Rolex claiming how great they are I would expect perfection. If Rolex can't take the scrutiny/criticism they should either lower prices or people's expectations.

It's not a Rolex thing, but the fact that Rolexes are expensive and people don't want to harm or damage them in anyway or for the piece not to have any defects.

Yep... rolex is not the most expensive luxury watch brand out there. But judging from their sales, they are arguably the most desirable luxury watch brand.

If we are talking about the same watch, the hour index was clearly not centered between the minute marks. So definitely not an optical illusion, nor OCD, nor hyped up expectations of Rolex, just sloppy work.

Hey, just because I bought an electron microscope so I could better examine my Rolex does not mean I'm ocd, does it?

Most OCD people are successful, probably why you see a lot of them in a Rolex forum!

I'm on various cycling forums too, and there is the same font of knowledge,
