As for OP, the daytona wears too small on my 7 1/4 wrist too and I wouldnt have it. If I want a chrono will go with Speedmaster as its size and styling is bang on.

(edit) Just re-measured - I'm 6.5 now. I lost 8lbs since last time I measured ( a couple months ago). Still.

A Daytona certainly isn't too small for any wrist under 8".
Some of the photos I see on here seem extreme in the other direction to me. |

Gold Daytona models have a slightly larger case correct?

Is this true? Actually I tried the platinum Daytona and for some reason it didn't seem small but when I tried the SS and TT Daytona they seemed smaller. Don't think there's a difference in size but don't know why I felt that way

Most of it is what you get used too, If you wear a 36mm watch a 44mm + will look huge and vice versa. (on this site not this thread) |

Gentlemen, no 7" wrist is the same shape. Physiologically, we are all different and hence the shapes of our wrists are different. When you add bone structure to the equation you will come up with almost infinite possibilities. Wear whatever you like...

Your wrist size is average, I think.
Personally I'd be more concerned about the overall appearance. 5'10 and 180ish lbs. It fills my wrist out pretty well. IMHO, best fitting watch I've ever owned.

Overall it depends on what you like.
I see lots of guys with big watgs that have lugs hanging over their wrists. Looks silly to me.

Daytona wears fine on my 7 3/8 wrist so can't see why it wouldn't on your 7.1 wrist. At end of the day too many people are caught up on how big a watch is versus how good it looks. If I like a watch I wear it and could care less what anyone else thinks. Taste is personal and quite subjective so go by yours not the next guys.

Is there any one else out there who feels the platinum. Daytona feels bigger on the wrist than the TT and SS version or is it just me? Maybe it's the colour combination.. I don't know

To the OP, I think the Daytona's size is great on your size of wrist. |

Also, you can tell that the lugs are wider, and the case is more curved with feet at the four points of the bottom of the underside of the case. Not sure if the overall case is thicker than SS, but others have commented that it does look bigger.... |

It's a great watch...but you've got to be happy with the way it looks on your wrist, bottom line.

Isn't the bezel thicker/wider? I know I can look up measurements but just looking at Tom's platona and the PM one below it, the brown bezel seems bigger and more prominent. As for the size, it absolutely is in part what you're used to seeing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Daytona small on a 6.5" wrist?
My opinion is may be small for a wrist if it is adjusted to the maximum pin size and multiple additional links need to be added in order to fit But if some multiple links need to be removed and resized much smaller not sure it can be too small for a wrist. Feels about right on my 7 3/8" wrist. |

I am debating a daytona right now as well, I have a 7.5" wrist; 6'1" ~200lb. I briefly tried one on in the store and it felt a little small but I've been wearing a SubC everyday for 6 months.
My advise would be to go cold turkey on wearing a watch for a week then try it on and see how it feels. I'll prob get one regardless because I like the watch - there was a time when I thought the SubC was too small, now it's the largest I will probably go!

My wrists are skinny, I still think my TT Daytona looks small. Yes I am used to and love my GMT IIc, however I still like the Daytona. Only like it, I'm hoping it grows on me. LOL
