If both is not an option I guess I would go black if you don't have a black sub but pepsi is awesome too!

Called SF Rolex Center and was advised that a coke insert would be $100 installed and they will keep my old insert. Is this the current price nowadays?

I got mine for $100CAD ~ $75USD. Take the bezel insert off first yourself or have it removed by an independent watchmaker.
Then, take it to RSC. They can't keep what's not there.
That way, I got to keep my old coke when I purchased a new pepsi.

Coke

I voted black because I think the Pepsi clashes. I like the coke bezel best.

BUT would there be a possibility they would deny service as it's missing a part??!

I guess one could lie and say it got 'lost'

Black for understated class and Pepsi for sport. I put the Pepsi on for the summer months and black rest of the year. I slip the Coke in in the fall sometimes. Slip the Coke in...context, context.

Pepsi is nice.....black is beautiful. More versatile and discreet as others have said.

When I had my 16710 I wore it mainly on black but frequently swapped to experiment. The assembly became loose over the years so at the next service I asked them to change the actual bezel. Problem fixed!

I vote black!

It's great to have both but if I owned your watch, the pepsi insert would be worn most of the time.

The black is more versatile...If we were talking ceramic, i'd say pepsi...but for all around use, i'd go black...

I must say I'm shocked how many people are saying black. One always assumes its Pepsi/Coke or nothin.... Guess this guy was wrong.

I have to admit I am all Pepsi with a little Coke from time to time. To me It looks an awful lot like a Sub with the black one which is the other I wear and I gotta have some diversity.
