I still like the looks of the new one. Heck....I am itching to just get a Daytona...to me they are all worth owning whether the ceramic bezel, steel bezel, Zenith steel bezel or the Oldies. A Daytona is a Daytona regardless of the iteration.

Bored and inpatient.
Could not find one, could not get one, too much exclusivity crap like my $13k is less valuable than another person's $13k. I just got an IWC 377709. Couldn't be happier.

Let me guess...you own the previous version? Threads make me laugh where people are trying to round up opinions, when they are really simply trying to convince themselves...

And or if their frustration level is off the charts as they're being given the cold shoulder from their normal AD sources. Not meant to be harsh or a slight, as I've been there, done that. I have owned 7 Daytona's of various vintages, metal combinations, and dial colors. I've had my black dial 116500 now for three weeks. It's my favorite Daytona, and my favorite watch at the moment. In no way am I getting "bored" with it, and I don't think it's due the the "honeymoon" phase. I was lucky, and did receive the first black dial (my dial choice when I placed my order), from my AD. I hope more and more continue to hit the market through normal AD channels so the masses that desire them are able to get them. The pricing should continue to come down as time goes on, but is this really any different then when the 116520's hit back in 2000? Sure the pricing is higher, but it's basically the same dilemma all over again. I was patient then and before too long was able to get my hands on both a white and black dial. Patiences is all that's required people! Cheers, Joe Oh, and this!!! |

Maybe a little bored but not so bored to make a poll about how bored I am bored. That being said I did get a little more bored of the Daytona C after reading this thread. Or maybe I just didn't realize how bored I was until reading this thread. I was a little less bored to learn that the guy sitting next to Beyoncé at the basketball game had one. For just a second but then there was another incoming and Ii got a little bored again.

Certainly not bored, it's provided a great deal of entertainment over the last few months and judging by the waiting lists around the world it's going to be the watch that keeps on giving for some time and if you are not number 1 on the list, several years

I prefer the ceramic to the SS bezel for sure, and I think it deserves all the attention it is getting on the forum and will do for the rest of the summer as it was long wished for and yet a surprise release. For me the panda dials would have been the icing on the cake, I've found I am not as drawn to the aesthetic of subdial rings.

Never bothered with the hype. It is a great new watch and I love that the bezel now won't get scratched up and that the numbers won't fade.

Well although the ceramic is scratch resistant they do scratch and hit them hard enough they will shatter as ceramic is quite brittle. Now the aluminium insert on my 6263 is now 33 years old yet show no sign of fade or scratches, and as the ceramic is quite recent we will have to wait quite a few more years yet to see if they fade..

I have never been a big Daytona fan but the new Daytona-C looks incredible! I think it's a grand slam for Rolex.

Not bored with all the great pics and incomings. It is a stunning piece and my appreciation for the black model has grown by leaps and bounds. And huge congrats to our members who are lucky enough to have one.
Bored to tears with all the hype and speculation threads. |

Sure, there's a lot of hype.
And it's justified! Great watch. It would be such a privilege to wear one. |

Who got already bored of the new steel DaytonaC
Got this instead. When trying to get the watch (Daytona C) is harder than the value, people move on.
To me this is a marketing failure. Think apple making their phones unobtainable. Apple would go bankrupt. So here it is: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not bored yet. Patiently waiting and not really bothered by the wait anymore to be honest. There is other fish to fry and when it arrives, it arrives.

The only thing I dislike about the 116500 is that mine hasn't arrived yet.

Just had a phone call from my AD and I'm third on the list to get a white dial one. ETA.....about 12 months!! Don't care though. Can't wait and like a kid at Christmas.

I'm putting off buying my next Rolex, a SD4K, until I see the 116500 in person. Can't say I'm bored but know that I need to see it in person before I know if I'm excited about it.
