Use of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Banned on Singapore Airlines

Are you kidding? I hope so. It's a joke about how the phone caught on fire. I'm enjoying this new IOS drawing feature. If because I'm a police officer I can't have a sense of humor then this world is out of control. It's simply a joke. I'm still baffled if you thought I was being rude. I'm sure you have made jokes in your life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I'm all for a good zinger. I will be more than happy to post a picture of my iPhone 7 so someone can make jokes about the lack of headphone jack, how it looks the same as the 6s, etc etc etc. someone can even post a picture of it exploding. I'm at the gym so here is all I got lol. I went ahead and started the photo for you. iPhone 7 is in the picture lol. BACK ON TOPIC. If the airlines says don't use the phone, I wouldn't take any chances. One thing that the law doesn't screw with is airline behavior. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

This is sage advice from Android Police, I must admit that I have toyed with the thought of buying a Note 7, this article deletes that "thought" completely. It is a shame, it is a fabulous device but when a pro Android page recommends the return of this flagship device, one needs to listen.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/10...good-idea-too/ I have copied part of the article for those that don't want to follow the link. QUOTE; Android Police rarely issues any kind of directive not to purchase a particular product. Recent news around the Galaxy Note7 is what I would deem cause for us to now do so. It's not because of our sincere desire for your safety so much as what the chaos around the Note brand right now means for owners of the Note7 down the road. Currently, AT&T, the US's largest (or second-largest, depending on the quarter) mobile operator, is actively seeding discussion about dropping the Galaxy Note7 entirely. There is no doubt in my mind that the other "big three" US operators are currently having similar talks. Of course they are. All four carriers are allowing customers with "safe" Note7 devices to return them. And operators and retailers around the world are likely considering doing the same. Even if it isn't their product, they're being associated with the "exploding Samsung." Who wants their brand to be coupled with discussion about spontaneously combusting phones? This is extremely bad news for Samsung, but it's also, I would argue, not great news for Note7 owners who may go their entire device lives without any sort of spontaneous device conflagration. It's bad news because it may mean, if the Note7 does go into full retail death, that Samsung will allocate resources away from supporting it in the future. While the Galaxy Note7 could go on to live a typical software support life in Samsung terms, there's a very real possibility now that Samsung will attempt to cut its losses. Issues may go unfixed, or linger for unusually long, and major OS upgrades could see delays. Here in the US, especially, what motivation do you think the big carriers will have to expedite update certifications for the Note7? All they're going to see is a lost cause.

In the local news here, a guy had one and it caught fire in his pants pocket... 2nd and 3rd degree burns, skin grafts, etc..
Not good for Samsung.. I'll bet they will be taking a large financial hit from this.. |
