Video: a question on 5270/ 5170 chronograph second hand

Pretty obvious...very disconcerting of a watch in this caliber..

I see it just as the chrono minute is activated.

Hoping for a quick 4 months. In the meantime, that's a nice stable you have there ... which 5131? Either way, rotate them and enjoy all of them.

5131R. But eventually decided to let 5235 out first. I really like the combination of brushed dial and blue hands
The hack second function and long line hands making the time setting easy and accurate! A true regulator.

Dear All,

My watch was eventually sent back to PP Geneva for examination at end of November 2016.
I have collected my 5270G from PP service center Hong Kong today.
The watch has gone through a complete service in Geneva (Disassembly and examination of all components, cleaning and replacement of basic movement parts, regulating of movement, encasing and full quality control).
According to staff of PP service center Hong Kong, the reply from Geneva is that the brief pause of chronograph second hand at 59-60 sec is a normal feature of CH29 movement. Since the instantaneously jumping of minute counter will consume significant energy and that mechanism is linked up with the chronograph second hand.
This phenomenon will happen in all 5170 and 5270, though some will be more prominent than others, but that's regarded as normal by PP Geneva.

Frankly I am a bit disappointed.
You are right, better not to look for it.
But anyway, it is time to enjoy the watch again, after part with it for 4 months!

The good news your watch isn t a lemon seems it s an extra feature ,the bad news kinda funny that a chrono just can t measure the time correctly ,it s fine that a watch has some deviation in 24 /48hours of time but in every minute i consider it bittersweet.
Mr.Biver said swiss watchmaker consider it the chronograph the top of horology ,your case confirms that.

Have to admit you got me nervous after I saw your post so I traded my 5170 for a Datograph Ab/Auf. Knowing the pause was there would make me crazy!
