I'm VERY biased towards the IWC. Fantastic watch. Really regret selling my 3227.

IWC hands down. Beautiful watches. Had a chance to try one one and pursued the same-ish design from a different manufacturer (GO).

I liked that watch until I read your comment. Now it's what I first see when I look at the watch.

I've always had a thing for the Ing. Easy choice.

Iwc as more refined. Tried to like north flag but the angles and yellow power reserve just not for me.

Also the new ingenuir is completely different style and not to my liking, I think the one you are considering will really hold value well

I like both, but I'd pick the North Flag. I think it's a more distinctive design than the IWC.

Purely on looks alone, I would go IWC. However, both would get left behind in a zombie apocalypse.

Thank you all for out pouring of responses.

Leaning north flag because of weight and size. Intially had my eye on it until
IWC came up out if no where.

When I first tried the NF on, my interest level shot up from 5/10 to 10/10. I bought one 2 weeks later! As always, the "on the wrist" test is the key

That's how I rolled up on it. Tried it on Sunday, and exact sentiment here.
It looks better on the wrist verse online.

I am a little biased as a NF user. But I always liked the Ingeneur line but never liked it on my wrist. Having said that, to spend that much money on an ETA movement is another thing I cannot overcome.

I have my NF now almost a year and I was drawn by the pictures I have seen. The watch in real is less "racey" and actually fits my lifestyle very well. From work to free time, the watch is always suited. In addition it wears really great and is easy to read.

The best features are the ones you cannot see directly, the power reserve is just right for me. Put it away for a weekend and you grab it Monday morning and it still runs. It takes the day to fully wind up automatically. The power reserve feature is in this particular case a little less useful since the watch stays on for over 70hrs. But it is a great to watch. Besides that, the whole mechanics are better than any ETA, with the silicon free sprung spring, the full bridge the watch keeps time to a few seconds a week. Mine is running particular well, almost spot on.

However, for the more conservative members, I can see how they tend to the IWC. But when you look at the value you receive with the NF, there is no competetion in this price range.

The 3227 isn't ETA...

The IWC is nice but the bezel to me looks unfinished - like there was something else on there and it has been removed.

I would go with the Tudor.

Yes, my mistake. It was in-house. Still, the Tudor movement is superior, IMHO.

In what way? The PR is longer, but I'd love to hear a technical discussion of the relative merits of each. As I said, I'd rather deal with Rolex than Richemont when service time rolls around.

Isn't the 80110 based on the 7750? That should answer your question right there.

This is the finished product!

If you are into the Ingenieur style then you definitely like this too.
